Child protection information. We have up to date information available containing the recognised local procedures relating to child protection issues. The clinical team have recently met with colleagues from social services to discuss these guidelines.

IT management. The practice has a computer manager and an IT lead partner.

Hepatitis B immunity. All clinical staff and any member of staff who is potentially at risk are vaccinated against hepatitis B and we keep a record of hepatitis immune status of those individuals.

Instrument sterilisation. There is a policy for instrument sterilisation. A PCT minor surgery service is based at the Colton Mill surgery.

Equipment maintenance. We have a programme of regular maintenance and calibration of diagnostic and other equipment.

Carer identification. The practice adopts a proactive approach to identification of carers. We keep a register of patients who are carers. We have information available for carers to obtain support.
