Significant event analysis. The medical and nursing staff have regular clinical meetings. We discuss a variety of different issues at these meetings including significant events, complaints, new diagnoses of cancer, deaths and any problem cases.
Staff appraisal. All clinical and administrative staff undergo annual appraisals.
Induction training. All new members of our team receive training when they first join the practice and subsequently can expect ongoing training in various aspects of their role.
Life support skills training. All our clinical and administrative staff have undergone recent updated resuscitation training.
Patient complaints. We have a complaints procedure and information leaflets for patients. We regularly review complaints at our team meetings. Our practice manager co-ordinates the complaints process. Our aim is to listen to a patients complaint early and address the nature of the complaint with a view to learning from possible mistakes that have been made.
